This bill repeals the California Affiliate Nexus Law (ABX 128) which was a near death knell for many California affiliate marketers. However, the law is repealed for only one year but it is hoped a better, more equitable plan will be developed in the interim. This is a welcome event for the estimated 25,000 affiliate marketers, including myself, that had been adversely affected by the implementation of ABX 128. It is also an encouraging sign for affiliate marketers in other states that have similar laws on the books or being planned.

Amazon has already sent emails to its former California affiliates encouraging them to re-establish their accounts with them. They managed to save everything so doing so is a very easy process. You can read more about it here.

California Governor Jerry Brown recently signed into law state bill ABX 128, the so-called Affiliate Nexus Tax Law. This bill will require online retailers, such as Amazon and Overstock, with affiliates in California to collect sales tax for all sales originating from leads generated by those affiliates.

California is in the midst of its worst budget crisis in history and hopes that the sales tax revenue created by ABX 125 will help fill a small portion of its massive budget shortfall. Amazon, the world’s largest online retailers, immediately and unilaterally terminated its contracts with all affiliates within California. Other online retailers are expected to follow Amazon’s lead. Many affiliate marketers based in California fear this move may effectively kill their affiliate businesses. Some experts expect it may also drive many of those businesses that survive to move to other states more conducive to online businesses.

Amazon and other online retailers claim they are working with the State of California and other online marketing companies and organizations to overturn this law and others like it in other states.

What exactly is PLR? PLR refers to Private Label Rights. They are things that are made and then purchased by several people. The people who buy them know other people are also acquiring them so the rights are not exclusive. Why then would someone buy materials that don’t just belong to them? You will probably find that PLR items are extremely helpful. You can use private label rights in lots of different ways. You’ll find just a couple ways PLR are implemented.

Private label rights articles are best used as inspiration. Instead of simply copy and pasting them into your website, why not rewrite them? You can use the PLR article as the place to get the facts or basic information you need. With this information at your fingertips, writing your own articles becomes simple. If you rewrite the article, you can then use it as unique content on your blog or website or sell it to someone else who needs articles. You can also submit a rewritten article to a directory for your own marketing efforts. You can also use these rewritten articles as content on your own website. You are definitely better off posting or submitting content that can be considered original rather than duplicate.

Some internet marketers use private label rights materials as added value bonus products to help incentivize potential clients. These articles and videos are put on whatever the customer buys as a way to show gratitude for acquiring it. We all know that people are more likely to buy if they think they can get something for free.

With PLR, you’re given an inexpensive and simple means to provide this without working too hard on creating items of additional worth. If this is your goal, make sure that the PLR you have purchased is of top notch quality. Giving away subpar will only make you look cinchy.

Make sure you always know how many people have bought your PLRs. Packs that sell a lot aren’t the packs you want to buy. Always try to sell to the person who sells his packs to around ten people rather than sell to someone who offers their packs to a hundred people. If you place a ceiling on the quantity of people who can acquire your packs, you will seriously decrease the chances of there being multiple copies of your PLR materials on the World Wide Web. That would be especially correct if the license that came complete with the PLR didn’t allow reselling. What you want to do is have as few people competing with you as possible.

You’ve just read a few ways PLR or private label rights are utilized to increase web marketing results. Keep in mind, however, that others may have the same materials you just bought. That’s what PLR stands for: purchasing something other people are purchasing, as well. So when you implement them, you take the risk of others implementing them also. Of course, if you don’t mind that idea, you can utilize PLR to help maximize your internet marketing results.

These Are Good Also:
internet income academy review
internet income academy

Creating an online presence for a business is a little more complicated than taking an advertisement out in a newspaper or magazine. With millions of potential viewers, internet advertising often seeks to gain “targeted traffic” for a website.

Newcomers to the online game may understand that traffic, just like with a storefront, means people that visit a business, or in this case website. What they may not have a handle on is what is meant by “targeted” and why this caveat is so important.

Targeted traffic is simply a stream of visitors that is predisposed to learn about or purchase the kind of products or services a company has to offer. If a company wanted to sell maternity clothes, it might not want to capture the audience of an online men’s magazine, for example.

So, how does Internet advertising work to help companies gain targeted traffic?

When highly targeted traffic is desired from online advertising, these steps are likely to come into play:

Defining the company or product’s keywords – Keywords are the words and phrases people use to locate websites, articles and products on the Internet. When a woman is shopping for clothing to wear during pregnancy, she might type “maternity clothes” into an online search engine. The term “maternity clothes” might then be a good keyword for a merchant with those wares to use on his or her site, in advertising, product descriptions and so on. Generally, a list of keywords is created that relates to the website being promoted.

Keyword ranking – Once general keywords are selected, research may be performed to determine how competitive the words are in regard to gaining traffic and search engine placement. The less competition on a phrase, generally the better.

Advertising design – After phrases are selected and ranked, the next step typically involves determining what type of Internet advertising marketing to pursue. The options include direct ad placement on sites related to the keywords, the use of programs like Google Adwords and so on. The idea is to select advertising venues that already rank in traffic, and therefore interest, for the selected keywords. Essentially, an advertiser selling maternity clothing might want to have ads run on websites related to pregnancy, women’s fashion, parenting and so on. The visitors to these sites are more likely to have an interest in the advertiser’s products.

Gaining traffic online is one thing. Converting that traffic into bona fide sales often requires targeting. When Internet advertising is handled correctly, the flow of traffic to a website will already be “prescreened” for interest. This, in turn, boosts the chances for successful sales. Internet marketing companies can help make the process much easier for businesses interested in gaining targeted traffic.

Here are some things that worked for me, and now are getting business for others

By Alan Boyer The $100K Coach

I’m sure that by now you’ve all heard how important a blog can be to your business, but I doubt you’ve heard how important other people’s blogs can be. It adds that final spurt to your blog and to your client acquisition process.

Your Own Blog

In marketing, it isn’t just a one step process of sending out marketing, or going networking, or whatever you do for your marketing.

It’s a process of “getting to know you, like you, and trust you . . . and finally getting to experience the results”. It’s several steps that must be designed and tweaked as you watch the clients line up at each of the steps.

Frequently, you have to take a look at which step is not passing along as many new prospects as you had expected. In other words you must measure and manage each step while watching the number of prospects going to the next step, and the next, and the next going up and up. ‘And also making sure that your marketing is in front of as many people as you need to get the right number of new clients falling out at the end of your marketing . . . EACH and EVERY WEEK.

In other words you can design the results, the number of clients you want . . . if you are managing it that way and not do what most coaches do . . . most do Hope and Pray marketing, casting a little something out and hoping and praying that someone will call them. When no one does . . . well throw that one out and move on the to next and the next and the next as the marketing fails at each one of those.

But your blog is just one of the steps. That’s where they “get to know you, like you, and trust you . . . and finally get to experience a taste of those results.” That’s when they WANT MORE and will call you . . . if you’ve set the blog up right and said the right things in it.

But setting up the blog and saying the right things in your blog is another story for another time. The intent of this article is to show you how important it is to use other people’s blogs to enhance your “client acquisition” process, and your own blog results.

Other People’s Blogs

A blog, as I said above, is about helping people to “get to know you, like you, and trust you” which is the FIRST step in getting them ready to buy from you.

And the more people you get in front of the higher your client acquisition will be.

Here’s a suggestion: Set up Google Alerts to alert you whenever there is news in your field, a new website comes on line, a competitor adds a new web page, a blog is turned on with your keywords in it, and lots of other ways to use it. Go to Google Alerts, sign up, give it the keywords you use on your own site, what others use to find you, and you’ll be notified any time any of these things appear, which is likely to be every day.

When you are notified of a new blog in your field, go there. Read everything and THEN COMMENT on it. Don’t be negative even when you disagree. Always be a VALUE provider, an enhancer, not a diminisher. That doesn’t mean that you HAVE to agree with what’s being said, just be positive in your response.

So, if you do disagree, say something like, “Have you thought about this?”. That doesn’t put down the person who said it, but it ADDS value to what they said. You will be seen as “an expert” who has a way to move the idea ahead even further rather than someone sniping the author.

And if you do agree, be complementary. Jump in with, “Great Idea, George, that’s exactly what I help my clients to do” and here’s another idea that can take that to THE NEXT LEVEL. Always be seen as someone who TAKES EVERYONE YOU TOUCH TO THE NEXT LEVEL. You are complementing the author, but adding more to the conversation. You have just become AN EXPERT. People are getting to know you, trust you, and like you.

Some of those who read your frequent comments on this blog will migrate to your site and may even sign up and become a follower of yours. And that’s just one of the reasons you went to that blog.

The more blogs you comment on the more followers you will acquire. Some blogs will be competitors. Some blogs will be someone that could become a strategic partner, sharing leads, prospects, and clients. Develop a relationship with the owner as well as gathering and sharing some traffic in both directions.

Build relationships and strategic partnerships to increase your reach. Besides getting direct traffic to your website from those other blogs there is another strategic value . . . getting links. Every time you comment you should be getting a link back from that comment to your site.

Every link also increases your search engine positions. Search engines keep track of those websites that have the most links. Frankly, the one with the most links . . . WINS the search engine position game. So you WANT those links. The more the better. In any case it’s important for you to have a strategic game plan for

Developing relationships with potential strategic partners, those with blogs that aren’t competitors but do have your ideal clients reading that site.

Have a goal for how many new people you get to your website by leaving X number of new comments a week.

Have a goal for how many new links you get every week by leaving comments on other people’s blogs. And ultimately target getting Y number of new search engine positions, and Z number of new traffic because of you leaving # new comments a week.

If you aren’t managing your total business, and your total marketing with measurable outcomes you are playing Hope and Pray business building.

You CAN actually define how many new clients you get each and every week if you DESIGN it, and then make it happen that way.

Then measure and manage for even better results each and every week.

Are you interested in how to make quick money online? If so then i am here to tell you how you can achieve this through forums. Forums can be an excellent way to subtly market your online business . Forum marketing certainly gets overlooked a lot online but you can really use it to increase the amount of traffic you get to your website and ultimately the amount of money that flows into your bank account. Here are a few essential tips that you must use in order to get the most out of these forums and discussion boards .

First of all it is essential that you make a name for yourself to start with, you want to get to know others and participate in discussions . Over a while and in these discussions the goal is to make yourself seen as someone who knows what they are talking about and someone who is quite helpful in discussion. When you become trustworthy and people can depend on your opinion then you’ll start to see traffic from the link that you leave to your website in your signature .

That brings me to my next point, and that is to never purposefully spam the forum or promote your website in a salesman like conduct . You will get plenty of traffic coming through your link by being helpful and adding thoughts and opinions to the forum dialog.

Besides seeing traffic from the links you have in the signature area themselves you will also notice that every time you comment you get one more back link to your website . Thus, increasing the rank of your website in the search engines and gaining you more traffic from the search engines as well.

These forums and discussion boards give you the opportunity to learn a lot and meet interesting and helpful people. As with posting you may find yourself a joint venture partner, this would be someone in the same area that you can agree to benefit in order for mutual advertising etc . And if nothing else there is always plenty of people on these forums that can answer your questions and help you deal with your problems as well.

Some forums will allow you to leave more than one link in the signature area, and if they do, you may want to link to a splash page or opt in page so you can build a large list and use this list to market your products too so you can make money .

It’s best to participate in a few different forums so you can really optimize your traffic and money potential from forums.

If you have a website then you already know the importance of traffic. Traffic is to Internet marketing as location is to real estate. It’s the only thing that really matters. If you cannot generate targeted visitors to your site, you will not make any sales.
Usually the owner or designer of the website is the person designated to drive traffic to the site. The chief ingredient in generating traffic is the search engine. Of coarse, you can use advertising, but it’s going to cost you. Using the search engines to generate targeted (interested in your product) traffic is the least expensive method known.

Visit us here to get the best SEO Services at the best, most reasonable prices for search engine optimization:
http://PhillySEOServices.com/

Unfortunately, many website owners do not understand the importance of search engine visibility, which leads to traffic. They place more importance on producing a “pretty” website. Not that this is bad, but it is really secondary to search engine placement. Hopefully, the following list of common mistakes, made by many website owners, will help you generate more targeted traffic to your site…after all, isn’t that what you want.

1. Not using keywords effectively.

This is probably one of the most critical area of site design. Choose the right keywords and potential customers will find your site. Use the wrong ones and your site will see little, if any, traffic.

2. Repeating the same keywords.

When you use the same keywords over and over again (called keyword stacking) the search engines may downgrade (or skip) the page or site.

3. Robbing pages from other websites.

How many times have you heard or read that “this is the Internet and it’s ok” to steal icons and text from websites to use on your site. Don’t do it. Its one thing to learn from others who have been there and another to outright copy their work. The search engines are very smart and usually detect page duplication. They may even prevent you from ever being listed by them.

4. Using keywords that are not related to your website.

Many unethical website owners try to gain search engine visibility by using keywords that have nothing at all to do with their website. They place unrelated keywords in a page (such as “sex”, the name of a known celebrity, the hot search topic of the day, etc.) inside a meta tag for a page. The keyword doesn’t have anything to do with the page topic. However, since the keyword is popular, they think this will boost their visibility. This technique is considered spam by the search engines and may cause the page (or sometimes the whole site) to be removed from the search engine listing.

5. Keyword stuffing.

Somewhat like keyword stacking listed above, this means to assign multiple keywords to the description of a graphic or layer that appears on your website by using the “alt=” HTML parameter. If the search engines find that this text does not really describe the graphic or layer it will be considered spam.

6. Relying on hidden text.

You might be inclined to think that if you cannot see it, it doesn’t hurt. Wrong…. Do not try to hide your keywords or keyword phrases by making them invisible. For example, some unethical designers my set the keywords to the same color as the background of the web page; thereby, making it invisible.

7. Relying on tiny text.

This is another version of the item above (relying on hidden text). Do not try to hide your keywords or keyword phrases by making them tiny. Setting the text size of the keywords so small that it can barely be seen does this.

8. Assuming all search engines are the same.

Many people assume that each search engine plays by the same rules. This is not so. Each has their own rule base and is subject to change anytime they so desire. Make it a point to learn what each major search engine requires for high visibility.

9. Using free web hosting.

Do not use free web hosting if you are really serious about increasing site traffic via search engine visibility. Many times the search engines will eliminate content from these free hosts.

10. Forgetting to check for missing web page elements.

Make sure to check every page in your website for completeness, like missing links, graphics, etc. There are sites on the web that will do this for free.

This is just a few of the methods and techniques that you should avoid. Do not give in to the temptation that these methods will work for you. They will do more harm than good for your website.

Not only will you spend weeks of wasted effort, you may have your site banned from the search engines forever. Invest a little time to learn the proper techniques for increasing search engine visibility and your net traffic will increase.

This applies to the Bloggers as well. In this editorial, you will gain knowledge of how to optimize your websites for Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing. If you have yet to set up a blog, I would advise you to utilize WordPress as the Content Management System (CMS) since it is very customizable and easily configured for Search Engine indexing as well.

The initial tip as a Blogger is that you must let Search Engine robots to crawl your blog. This may possibly sound apparent but you possibly will be amazed that there are a few Bloggers who by mistake block out the robots from Search Engines mistakenly and keep thinking why there are no referrals from the Search Engines over time. If you are using WordPress, go to your privacy options in the admin panel and permit the setting that allows Search Engine to crawl and index your blog.

Once you have permitted the robots to visit your blog, the next thing is to create a Search Engine Friendly URL structure. This can be easily completed by going to your admin panel once again and modify your Permalinks to show your post name. Otherwise, you can also choose one of the standardized controls – the Day and Name or the Month and Name settings. This setting will transform your common numeric URL to keyword-rich URL that Search Engines desire. This site, camp trunks, has a highly optimized URLs that you can refer to as a good example.

The third tip is to have a very descriptive title for all your post. Prior to ranking your page on the Search Engines, Google will take into account what is your page regarding according to the title that you have produced for your blog. Thus, you need to have a unique and descriptive title so that others will be able to locate your blog using the Search Engines. You can refer to the site, buying gold coins for an example relevant titles across the whole site.

The last tip is to optimize your images in your blog. You may be surprised if I were to inform you that a decent percentage of my traffic in fact comes from image.google.com! This is because I continually optimize all my images in my blog and Search Engines just pass on the people to my blog when they are searching for a particular image using the Search Engines. There are several ways you can optimize your images on your blog, one way is to have a very appropriate file name for your image. When you are uploading an image, at all times remember to name it using relevant keywords. Do not make use of those generic IDs that are produced by the cameras. You can too optimize your images by using a relevant ALT tags meant for them. It is significant for all your images to have a ALT tag because this is what Search Engines look at whenever they want to rank images. ALT tags can be created when you re uploading the image through WordPress.

If you practiced all the above advice in your blog, you will begin to observe an amplified of traffic within the next few months. I wish you all the best in your blogging! You can also read my blog, Business Sense for more SEO tips.

Especially on blogs about blogging, you’ll very commonly find this as a recommendation for getting additional visitors to your blog: Find other blogs on the same or a comparable subject as yours and leave comments there. How can this strategy, usually called blog-commenting, help your own websites? Is it a good way to increase traffic? Read on to find out.

How Blog-Commenting Can Help You
There are mainly two ways in which posting comments helps your own site or blog. On the one hand, you get to enter your website URL when you leave a comment and your name in the comment will be a link back to that URL. In other words, each comment you leave on a blog represents one new backlink to your site. This is good for search engine optimization (SEO). Another advantage is that you’ll be getting those backlinks from many different places, online (different IP addresses, different geographical locations, different domains etc.). This is also a factor that is beneficial in terms of SEO.

The second factor has very little to do with search engines, but rather with actual people: People might click on the link to go check out your site. People might simply be intrigued by your comment and want to see what other stuff you’ve written.. In other words, you’ll be getting a bit of a traffic stream directly through the blogs you are leaving comments on. Of course, the more interesting and original your comments are, the more likely people are to want to check out your site.

If a blog uses ComLuv (aka CommentLuv), you’ll even get a link to your latest post, including the post title, displayed with your comment. Especially if you’ve chosen a spectacular or provocative title, this will increase the amount of people clicking through to check out an article.

So, to recap, blog-commenting can help your own site in terms of ranking and also in terms of curious visitors following the link in your comment.

Blog-Commenting: The Cons
Unfortunately, blog commenting also has some disadvantages as a link-building technique. For starters, most comments sections are tagged “nofollow”, meaning that the links in the comments don’t pass page rank. In other words, links from blog comments mostly won’t help your own site climb to a higher position in Google’s search engine results. Although there is much discussion about whether Google really discounts nofollow-links or not, it’s safe to say that you’ll get substantially less or even no advantage from nofollow-links. Even if the links are “dofollow”, they are still low-value links. Google “sees” that the links are coming from a comments section and that means that they were created by the site owners themselves. This is obviously less valuable than a link created by a third party. Also, your comment will often be one among many, so the link-juice gets diluted as it’s distributed to many sites.

The amount of comments can also negatively affect the amount of click-throughs you receive: If you comment on a popular, high-traffic blog, you’ll probably be one among dozens or even hundreds of commenters. The greater the number of comments, the smaller your chances of getting any visitor’s attention. If you’re commenting on a low-popularity blog, you may be among the only few commenters, but there won’t be that many people even seeing your comment, so once again, you won’t get many visitors.

Finally, your comment should be relevant to the post it belongs to and it should be interesting and genuine. If you simply write “Great post!” or something along those lines, your comment is likely to get marked as spam and even if it does get through, it won’t generate any interest with human visitors. In other words: Good blog commenting takes a lot of time. For it to work, you have to read the blog articles and then write something original about them in the comments. Of course, if you’re visiting blogs because you’re interested in them, this isn’t a problem at all, but if you’re trying to use blog-commenting purely as a website promotion strategy, you’ll soon find that building a few back links this way can swallow up several hours of your time.

In short, the links you can get from blog commenting are relatively low-value.

Blog Commenting Mistakes
As already indicated, you should certainly avoid leaving short, meaningless comments. As mentioned above, comments like this will often get filtered out as junk and even if they don’t they’re a waste of time. Apart from that, shallow “non-real” comments are also a bit of an insult to the blog author, who’s trying to get real people interested in his posts and doesn’t want to deal with spam.

There are many Internet marketing products that automate blog commenting or even do high-volume blog comment spamming. Obviously, you should avoid any program like this for the reasons mentioned above.

Whatever you do, never rely on blog comments alone as your SEO method. It can be a useful addition to a larger strategy, but it should not be your main thing.

So, does blog commenting make sense as an online marketing strategy? In my opinion: No. Ultimately, there are many ways to build backlinks that get you better results in less time. Leave actual comments on blogs if you truly want to interact with the blog owner and the community. That’s the primary and still the ideal purpose of comments sections.
